
I doubt that there are many people around who would not choose happiness over strife, and being happy truly just depends on an inward determination. It takes work to keep the happiness flowing, but it is a labor of love! No matter the situation, I like to remind myself that these bad moments are just moments – they will pass and the rest of my day can be better. This is a valuable tool to help keep my calm and maintain the inner peace which are essential for happiness. After all, the moments that make us mad will take up far less of our time if we let them go and move past them quickly. Inner tranquility is more sustainable if we keep ill emotions to a minimum and not give them room to move around in our hearts and minds. Just as we are physically what we eat, we are mentally what we think and dwell on. I hope that this is useful to others, as well.
