While my goal is to increase my happiness in my life, it is not merely a place I hope to get to in life. It takes directional movement with my mentality and attitude to obtain true happiness, and I cannot just wish to be happy today – my lifestyle has to induce the happiness. If I am prone to bitterness or anger, and want to change things, a mental shift has to come from the heart and mind being determined that I will not sweat the small stuff. Deciding that the things that usually cause the emotional roller coaster will not effect me anymore is a great first step towards emotional freedom, and it will allow me to embrace happiness on a new level.
