It can be hard for someone who suffers from depression and anxiety to face criticism, but criticism can be a very valuable tool – depending on who is doing the criticizing (not everyone’s opinion is for your benefit). I love that my maturity level has reached the point that I do not take everything as personally, now. I can hear criticism and be happy to use it for my betterment, not allowing it to wound my ego. This is the main reason to develop a growth mindset (at least for me). I see every character flaw of mine as an opportunity to cultivate my qualities into something that I have admired in others; I can utilize the important criticism to evaluate my lifestyle and habits and invest time and effort into making lasting quality improvements. I hope that others can benefit from desire to make lasting self improvements.
