Being prone to depression and anxiety can lead me to beat myself up mentally, which is no help for the mental healing that I am after. One way to increase the positive outlook of myself is to treat myself with the respect that I desire from others. A daily affirmation that fosters my self respect will be a step in the right direction, so, today, I will affirm within myself: “I treat myself with love and kindness!” It will be productive to remind me not to use self harming thoughts against myself. This is a nice way to add positivity to the way that I view myself, and I hope that others who need this boost will join me.
